Hey, it's taken me awhile to get back in the saddle of cardmaking after the holidays, but I am finally back.  I did lots of art journaling during that time period, but this week I needed a couple of cards.  The picture above shows an art jounal cover that I made after taking Art Journal Conversion over at http://www.robenmarie.com/

I made this card for a Bat Mitzvah:

I used the Neavah digital image from http://saturatedcanary.blogspot.com/.  I always wanted to try one of their images.  I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I used SEI patterned paper and some Stickles glitter glue on the skirt.  I printed the sentiment from my computer using WORD.

I am entering this card in into challenge #128 at http://ppp-makeitmonday.blogspot.com/ and the current challenge at http://www.spectrumnoir.com/challenge/.   Thanks for looking!!

Like most people, I have been very busy since it is the holidays.  Many challenge blogs seem to be taking a break.  I have decided to enter this card in the Make It Monday challenge #120 that is running for two weeks:

I hope that everyone has a safe and happy holiday!!  I hope to continue to participate in more challenges during 2013.

Back After Thanksgiving

I didn't craft much for a week or so while I was celebrating Thanksgiving.  I hope that all who celebrate had a great holiday.

My goal for Black Friday shopping was to pick up some Cricut cardridges.  I used my new Create A Critter 2 cartridge to make this card:

I like how the tree has a smile on it.  I am entering this card in the challenges at Make It Monday (#117) and the Speaking of Christmas challenge #121 at Cricut Cardz Challenge .  Thanks for looking.  I am glad to be back crafting!!

Trying A New Stamp

I made so many cards during October, I got a little burn out on cardmaking.  I was getting inspiration the Holiday Workshop at Online Card Classes, but that ended.  I have also been busy working on my lapbook project from over at Paper Phenomenon.

I make gift albums for my mother and my mother-in-law, so I have been working on those too.  I'm not a Creative Memories rep, but I do have to say that this album from them is great:  Nancy O'Dell Joy 12X12 Fast to Fabulous Album.  It's really pretty and you just have to stick your pictures in.  It comes with page protectors too.

I finally decided to make a card:

I used a 3 kings cling stamp that I bought last year and never used.  I'm not sure who makes it.  The sentiment is a Technique Tuesday stamp.  The green and white patterned paper is from Stampin Up!.  The green paper and gold patterned paper was from my scrap stash.

I am entering this card over at challenge C4C162 at Crazy 4 Challenges.  This week's challenge was to make a card with your favorite Christmas carol.  I guess that I have two here with "We Three Kings" and "Joy to the World.

I am also entering it at Make It Monday for challenge #115.

Thanks for visiting!!

Teen Boy Card

As the mother of two teen boys, I frequently need boy cards.  Many times my kids will tell me that the cards that I provide to them to use are too "girly".  My younger son has a birthday party for one of his friends that he plays basketball with this week.  I did a google search on teen cards and found this digital image at Mo's digital Pencil:

I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers and used some patterned paper from my stash from Imaginince.  The sentiment stamp in from Stampin Up!

I am entering this card in the challenge #114 at Make It Monday.

Cool Santa Stamp

I guess that it was serendipity.  I saw the Stampendous Jumbo Vintage Santa stamp one day on Pinterest.  Then it showed up in the Holiday Card Workshop at On-line Card Classes.  I was working on my December Daily lap book project over at Paper Phenomenon when I ran out of double stick tape and needed to make an emergency run to Michael's.  Of course, I needed to get more than just double stick tape and I had a 40% off coupon.  They had the stamp, so I got it & made this card:

I think it's one of the coolest stamps that I have purchased in a long time.  It also was easy to made a great stamped image.  Sometimes I have trouble stamping a good image with larger stamps, but not with this one.  I followed an example from the Holiday Card Workshop.  I colored him with Spectrum Noir markers and used patterned paper from the Peppermint Collection from Crate Paper.  I used a Hero Arts sentiment stamp.

I think that I will have this stamp in my collection for years to come!

Fall Colors with Burlap

I'm having fun looking around the web for challenges to enter.  I found this one:  http://ahdesignschallengeblog.blogspot.com/ and here is the card that I made for the first Color Challenge:

When I saw the color combination, I remembered that I had some Anna Griffin supplies in those colors.  I also thought that I could find some burlap.  Luckily, I was able to quickly locate everything.   That isn't aways the case!

The diecuts and patterned paper are from Anna Griffin and the gray cardstock is from an unknown source.  I left off a sentiment, so I could have more flexibility in using this really pretty card.  I like how the burlap looks as a mat.
